The much-awaited nominations for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press on Thursday. The nominations were annunciated by Gerard Butler, Woody Harrelson, Rashida Jones and Sofia Vergara.
In the film categories, “The Artist” topped the list with six nominations, including best motion picture, comedy or musical. It was closely followed by “The Help” and “The Descendents” with 5 nominations while “Moneyball,” “Midnight in Paris” and “Ides of March” earned four nods each.
As for TV, “Downton Abbey” and “Mildred Pierce” both earned four nominations, while series “Modern Family,” “The Hour,” “Homeland” and “Boardwalk Empire” received three nominations each.
